A faint lustre on the surface softens all that depth, and because the thread is matched to the ground, the pattern appears as gentle hollows and swells rather than drawn lines. It weighs 200gsm and comes 145cm wide, giving a substantial, padded cloth with plenty of bounce that stands away from the body and keeps its form.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eShowers are less of a worry, as it's water repellent: drizzle sits in droplets on top for a while before it gets a chance to sink in. Olive is the colour of hedgerows and old map covers, a shade that plays the part of a neutral with more character than black.
