Description
Made from 100% polyester, this burgundy cloth features a beautifully soft, velvety surface with irregular slub detailing running through the weave, creating subtle variations in texture and colour. The deep wine-red shade has hints of plum and claret, while the gentle sheen of the chenille catches the light to give the fabric depth. At 560gsm, it has a substantial, premium-quality handle, perfect for furnishing projects where comfort and durability are equally important.
This fire-retardant furnishing fabric is a fantastic choice for upholstering sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, footstools and headboards, as well as making luxurious scatter cushions and other soft furnishings. With a 40,000 Martindale rub rating, it offers excellent abrasion resistance for regularly used furniture. Sourced from designer deadstock, it is a lovely opportunity to get your hands on quality upholstery fabric from a limited supply. Burgundy is a timeless furnishing colour, particularly beautiful alongside warm neutrals, dark woods and traditional interiors.

Allow 2-10% shrinkage to be on the safe side. Wash the fabric before making up, in the same way you'll wash the finished make, drying methods included, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.
