Country House

Woven on a soft cream ground with a fine black and dark mustard check, it has a timeless, understated character that feels equally at home in town or countryside. The twill weave adds a subtle diagonal texture and gives the cloth a softer, more luxurious handle than a standard poplin shirting. Some fabrics instantly bring to mind country pubs, estate walks and well-worn favourite shirts. This lightweight cotton twill does exactly that. 

At approximately 110gsm, this is a beautifully balanced shirting fabric with enough substance to feel premium whilst remaining comfortable and breathable. The soft finish makes it ideal for classic shirts, overshirts, shirt dresses and lightweight blouses. Produced from fine cotton yarns, it drapes naturally, presses beautifully and has the sort of quality you'd expect from a much more expensive cloth.

• Please allow 2-10% shrinkage on fabrics to be on the safe side. Wash before making up in the same manner as you would with subsequent washes (including drying methods)
• Please test a sample area first to find the most suitable way to wash your chosen fabrics, as we cannot accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.
