Description
Crisp, smart and beautifully understated, this black polyester and wool blend dressmaking fabric has the appearance of fine linen, but with the added advantage of being remarkably crease resistant. The surface has a subtle linen-like texture, giving it a natural, slightly dry appearance, while the handle is smooth, firm and wonderfully crisp. At just 170gsm, it feels light without being flimsy, with a touch of Lycra providing a little give in both directions.
Particularly lovely for shirts and shirt dresses, this is a fabric that holds its shape beautifully and gives collars, cuffs and structured details a wonderfully neat finish. It would also make excellent tailored blouses, summer trousers, A-line skirts and lightweight dresses. The wool content adds a lovely quality to the cloth, while the polyester helps keep creasing to a minimum. Perfect for anyone who loves the look of linen but would rather not spend half their life ironing it!

Care & washing
Allow 2-10% shrinkage to be on the safe side. Wash the fabric before making up, in the same way you'll wash the finished make, drying methods included, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.
