Description
Soft lavender with a beautiful, almost iridescent sheen, this imitation silk lining has a wonderfully elegant appearance. Woven from polyester, the fine yarns create a subtle changeable effect, shifting between dusty lilac, mauve and silvery lavender as the light catches the surface. Smooth, lightweight and beautifully fluid, it has that lovely silky finish which makes a garment lining feel just as special as the fabric on the outside.
Perfect for lining tailored jackets, coats, blazers and waistcoats, this is the sort of cloth that adds a little luxury to the inside of your sewing projects. At approximately 82gsm, it's light enough to sit comfortably beneath your main fabric without adding unnecessary bulk, while its smooth surface helps garments slip on and off with ease. Particularly lovely paired with charcoal wool, navy suiting, cream tweed or a contrasting deep plum. After all, who says the inside of a jacket has to be boring?

Care & washing
Allow up to 10% shrinkage to be on the safe side. Wash the fabric before making up, in the same way you'll wash the finished make, drying methods included, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.
