Description
Set against a rich inky navy blue, oversized painterly blooms in coral, faded terracotta, blush pink and soft ivory mingle with foliage in turquoise, sage and muted ochre. The slightly weathered, almost watercolour quality of the print keeps everything sophisticated rather than overly pretty. Made from 100% cotton, this Italian cloth has a smooth, soft handle with enough crispness to show off the scale of the design beautifully.
At approximately 136gsm, it sits perfectly between a fine shirting and lightweight dress cotton: light enough for shirts and blouses, but with enough presence for shirt dresses, gathered skirts, relaxed trousers, jumpsuits and summer separates. We'd be very tempted by an oversized shirt, where those enormous flowers could really have their moment. Romantic, certainly. Old-fashioned? Not on your nelly.
