Bet on Black

This is one of those fabrics that reveals itself when the light catches it. At first glance it looks like a solid black shirting, but woven through it are subtle shadow stripes with a slight sheen that create texture and depth without being flashy. It's the sort of cloth you'd expect to find in a well-made designer shirt rather than on the high street.

I'd position it as a premium cotton shirting for smart shirts, shirt dresses, lightweight overshirts and elegant blouses. The shadow stripe adds interest while remaining understated, making it suitable for both men's and women's garments.
