Description
Red certainly isn't shy here, and why should it be? This fabulous checked shirting combines vivid scarlet red with striking black and electric blue checks, finished with fine threads of lurex that catch the light with just a little sparkle. Made from a lovely blend of cotton and viscose with a touch of lurex, it's beautifully soft, superfine and smooth to the touch. At 152gsm, there's enough substance to give the cloth a lovely finish while keeping it light and comfortable to wear.
There's something rather wonderful about a traditional check that's decided to dress up a bit. Perfect for a statement shirt, a relaxed blouse with gathered sleeves or a fabulous shirt dress, this fabric would also make a lovely lightweight skirt. The metallic detailing is subtle enough for everyday wear but gives it that extra something for Christmas gatherings and special occasions. Think classic tartan with a mischievous little twinkle.

Allow 2-10% shrinkage to be on the safe side. Wash the fabric before making up, in the same way you'll wash the finished make, drying methods included, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.
