Dalesman 9oz Wax Cotton - Briar

Rugged, dark and generously waxed, this British Millerain 9oz waxed cotton is certainly not your typical flat brown. This cloth has a deep earthy tone somewhere between dark chocolate, peat and weathered bark, with subtle variations across the surface that really suit the traditional wax finish. Made from 100% cotton, it has a firm, substantial handle and a proper dose of wax, giving excellent water resistance and that unmistakable character associated with hard-wearing country outerwear.

The 9oz weight feels particularly well suited to this cloth, giving plenty of substance for field coats, shooting jackets, workwear, gilets, utility jackets, bags and outdoor gear. Creases, scuffs and handling marks will gradually become part of the finish, so this isn't a fabric that needs to be kept pristine; it's one that should get better the more life it sees. Handsome, practical and reassuringly rugged – very much more muddy Land Rover than polished Chelsea tractor.

⚠️Due to the nature of this fabric we are unable to provide refunds on any returned wax cotton. Therefore we recommend you purchase either a sample where possible or half a metre quantities to ensure you are completely happy with your fabric.

The roll price is £30 for postage. However, if you’re happy for it to be folded please proceed as normal. By folding it will come with crease marks on the folds.

• Please allow 2-10% shrinkage on fabrics to be on the safe side. Wash before making up in the same manner as you would with subsequent washes (including drying methods)
• Please test a sample area first to find the most suitable way to wash your chosen fabrics, as we cannot accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.
• Whilst every effort is made, we cannot guarantee that the colours you see on your screen are accurate because every screen shows colours differently.

Delivery

Processing Your Order: We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your order is handled with care and sent out promptly.

UK Delivery:

Royal Mail Tracked 48 - 2nd Class Delivery: This is our standard Royal Mail service. Delivery is typically estimated at 2–3 working days from dispatch, although times can vary.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 - 1st Class Delivery: A faster Royal Mail option, typically estimated at 1–2 working days from dispatch. Please note that this is not a guaranteed next day service.
Courier Delivery: We offer a courier service via Parcelforce for customers requiring a faster delivery option. We aim to dispatch eligible orders placed before 1pm on the same working day, but this cannot be guaranteed. Courier delivery is generally expected on the next working day following dispatch. Orders placed on Friday may not be collected until the following Monday. This service is tracked.

We process orders Monday to Friday, so weekend orders begin processing the following Monday.
