Dalesman 9oz Wax Cotton - Marsh Green

Proper country cloth through and through, this British Millerain 9oz waxed cotton comes in a deep green that looks completely at home outdoors. Made from 100% cotton with a traditional wax finish, it has that unmistakable slightly rugged, characterful surface associated with classic wax jackets, with water beading readily on the face. The substantial 9oz weight gives it a reassuring handle without making it excessively stiff, and the dark mossy olive green only adds to its traditional country feel.

Made for wax jackets, field coats, shooting jackets, gilets, utility outerwear, bags and outdoor accessories, this is a cloth that should look even better once it has been worn in. Creases and handling marks are part of the character of traditional waxed cotton rather than something to be avoided, gradually giving a finished garment its own lived-in appearance. If your sewing plans involve muddy boots, dogs, fields or simply looking as though they might, this is very much the fabric for the job.

⚠️Due to the nature of this fabric we are unable to provide refunds on any returned wax cotton. Therefore we recommend you purchase either a sample where possible or half a metre quantities to ensure you are completely happy with your fabric.

The roll price is £30 for postage. However, if you’re happy for it to be folded please proceed as normal. By folding it will come with crease marks on the folds.

• Please allow 2-10% shrinkage on fabrics to be on the safe side. Wash before making up in the same manner as you would with subsequent washes (including drying methods)
• Please test a sample area first to find the most suitable way to wash your chosen fabrics, as we cannot accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.
• Whilst every effort is made, we cannot guarantee that the colours you see on your screen are accurate because every screen shows colours differently.

Delivery

Processing Your Order: We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your order is handled with care and sent out promptly.

UK Delivery:

Royal Mail Tracked 48 - 2nd Class Delivery: This is our standard Royal Mail service. Delivery is typically estimated at 2–3 working days from dispatch, although times can vary.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 - 1st Class Delivery: A faster Royal Mail option, typically estimated at 1–2 working days from dispatch. Please note that this is not a guaranteed next day service.
Courier Delivery: We offer a courier service via Parcelforce for customers requiring a faster delivery option. We aim to dispatch eligible orders placed before 1pm on the same working day, but this cannot be guaranteed. Courier delivery is generally expected on the next working day following dispatch. Orders placed on Friday may not be collected until the following Monday. This service is tracked.

We process orders Monday to Friday, so weekend orders begin processing the following Monday.

Please note that fabrics are cut to order, so a restocking fee may apply. Some items are non-returnable except where faulty or not as described.
