Gamekeeper 8oz Wax Cotton - Bracken

Made from 100% cotton, this British cloth has a smooth handle and a beautifully visible waxed finish that gives the surface depth without making it feel overly greasy. What makes this one particularly interesting is the cloth itself; despite being 8oz, it feels surprisingly light and fine, and when held up you can even make out the shadow of your hand through it. Not sheer in the usual sense, just an unusually fine, lightweight-feeling waxed cotton with real character, with warm tobacco, bronze and earthy brown tones that seem to change as the cloth moves.

That combination of an 8oz weight, finer construction and generous wax finish makes it a cracking option for outerwear that doesn't feel cumbersome. Think field jackets, utility jackets, gilets, overshirts, lightweight coats, bags and outdoor accessories, particularly pieces intended for layering. At 150cm wide, it's practical to work with too. Quite different from the dense, heavy wax cloths we're used to seeing, and all the more interesting for it.

⚠️Due to the nature of this fabric we are unable to provide refunds on any returned wax cotton. Therefore we recommend you purchase either a sample where possible or half a metre quantities to ensure you are completely happy with your fabric.

The roll price is £30 for postage. However, if you’re happy for it to be folded please proceed as normal. By folding it will come with crease marks on the folds.

• Please allow 2-10% shrinkage on fabrics to be on the safe side. Wash before making up in the same manner as you would with subsequent washes (including drying methods)
• Please test a sample area first to find the most suitable way to wash your chosen fabrics, as we cannot accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.
• Whilst every effort is made, we cannot guarantee that the colours you see on your screen are accurate because every screen shows colours differently.

Delivery

Processing Your Order: We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your order is handled with care and sent out promptly.

UK Delivery:

Royal Mail Tracked 48 - 2nd Class Delivery: This is our standard Royal Mail service. Delivery is typically estimated at 2–3 working days from dispatch, although times can vary.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 - 1st Class Delivery: A faster Royal Mail option, typically estimated at 1–2 working days from dispatch. Please note that this is not a guaranteed next day service.
Courier Delivery: We offer a courier service via Parcelforce for customers requiring a faster delivery option. We aim to dispatch eligible orders placed before 1pm on the same working day, but this cannot be guaranteed. Courier delivery is generally expected on the next working day following dispatch. Orders placed on Friday may not be collected until the following Monday. This service is tracked.

We process orders Monday to Friday, so weekend orders begin processing the following Monday.
