Milano Cord - Black

A proper wardrobe staple in a particularly good cloth, this Italian ex-designer black corduroy has a classic 10 wale construction, giving you approximately 10 pronounced ribs per inch. In black, the pile does all the interesting work: depending on the direction and the light, the surface moves between an inky matt black and a deeper velvety sheen. At 366gsm, it has plenty of substance and structure, making it an excellent alternative to denim or heavy cotton twill.

The composition is 97% cotton with 3% elastane, giving less than 5% stretch across the weft for a little additional comfort without making the fabric feel obviously stretchy. Black makes this perhaps the most versatile of the Milano colours: trousers, jackets, skirts, pinafores, waistcoats, dresses and chore coats would all work beautifully. If you've been looking for a good black cord for a pair of trousers you'll actually wear repeatedly, this would be very difficult to argue with.

• Please allow 2-10% shrinkage on fabrics to be on the safe side. Wash before making up in the same manner as you would with subsequent washes (including drying methods)

UK Delivery:

Royal Mail Tracked 48 - 2nd Class Delivery: This is our standard Royal Mail service. Delivery is typically estimated at 2–3 working days from dispatch, although times can vary.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 - 1st Class Delivery: A faster Royal Mail option, typically estimated at 1–2 working days from dispatch. Please note that this is not a guaranteed next day service.
Courier Delivery: We offer a courier service via Parcelforce for customers requiring a faster delivery option. We aim to dispatch eligible orders placed before 1pm on the same working day, but this cannot be guaranteed. Courier delivery is generally expected on the next working day following dispatch. Orders placed on Friday may not be collected until the following Monday. This service is tracked.

We process orders Monday to Friday, so weekend orders begin processing the following Monday.
