Description
This knitted cotton has a pale blush pink with a hint of warmth. The face is worked in slim vertical columns of tiny eyelet diamonds, each column edged with fine raised ribs, while the reverse is a smooth, plain jersey. At 190gsm it has a comfortable mid-weight body, a soft, springy handle and a supple drape that settles into gentle folds.
Pointelle is the knitted-in openwork you'll know from vintage vests and christening gowns, and here it gives a delicate texture without any fuss. The 95% cotton, 5% spandex blend has some natural give, so it's easy to wear and kind to the skin, and the little eyelets let the air circulate on warmer days. Do bear in mind that they also let a peek of what's underneath show through, so a nude or pale layer is wise.
