Description
Think of the soft green of dried bay leaves with a little earth worked in, and you have the colour of this 150cm wide woven: a deep, muted khaki that leans olive in daylight and browner in the shadows. Fine crinkled ribs run down the length of the cloth and give it a rippled, almost gauzy surface, while a soft sheen catches the light along every ridge. At 110gsm it's lightweight and silky to the hand, fluid enough to pool and fall rather than hold a crisp line.
The mix of 47% rayon, 36% Tencel and 17% nylon brings that cool, smooth feel you expect from cellulose fibres, with a share of nylon in the blend. Khaki is one of those colours that works far harder than it lets on: it sits happily with cream, rust, denim and gold, and the ripple stops it ever looking flat or utilitarian. There's no stretch, so allow a little ease when you cut.
